Located in the heart of Great Missenden, our Memorial Centre is suitable for a wide range of activities and events. Following the arrival of the Metropolitan Railway (later the London Underground 's Metropolitan line) in 1892, Great Missenden became a village where writers, entertainers and even prime ministers resided. The Hall was built in 1924 to commemorate the sacrifice made by local residents in the First World War and to serve as a community focal point for the villages of Ballinger, South Heath, Potter Row and Pednor. For one-off bookings we require a refundable damage deposit of £150 in addition to the booking fee; this deposit is refunded after the satisfactory completion of each event.
